Notes

Alan Cole
Inca clay plaque showing fields and mountains, which were on the land of the owner. The plaque would have been given to a shaman who would then throw it into the fire. Depending on how it broke, the shaman could foretell the future or give his blessing to the agricultural well-being of the land. 18th century.
