Notes

Alan Cole
I have found very little about James Mulligan. If you know more, please let me know.

Sir Francis Vincent (1803-80), became an MP in 1831 on the reform side. He married Augusta Elizabeth, daughter. of Hon. Charles Herbert.
See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_Francis_Vincent,_10th_Baronet

About 600 of the letters and autographs in the collection came from Augusta's own collection and included such names as Nelson,Wellington, Dickens, Tennyson and many French military and literary personalities.
