My Dear Ted

I was touched to have you write as you did - of course I would do what you wished: but, barring accidents (which, I agree, sees nearly to have scored with your appendix!) there seems no reason to anticipate any need therefore for a good long time.

I am rather busy & oppressed with this big book - what with

[overleaf] [indec] & other things, it is behind time & I am having to go very hard at it - which is unfortunate, as the 'flu robbed me of all my surplus energy.

However, I jog along, & in spite of hard work slowly stronger.

Juliette is taking this over to you - I will try [indec] one day, but don't guarantee it, as I really am rather full up
