Notes
Alan Cole
Unfinished manuscript, early 16th century There are corrections on some pages. Ruled in ink with carry-overs into the right-hand margins. The prickings for the rulings can be seen in the outer margin, they have never been trimmed off and thus show one of the methods of composing a page. This page has the capitals marked by the scribe as an instruction to the illuminator, but they were never completed. It also has the indicators written in shading on an in-text capital. At the top of one text block can be seen a correction, the letter has been missed and inserted later.
